Biography

Maren J. Corner has taken a circuitous route to decorating. She lived in Germany, England and Scotland and traveled extensively through all parts of Europe. She maintains a residence in Paris, France!

Before emigrating from her native Germany in 1980, Maren undertook three years of intensive training in every aspect of hairstyling and aesthetics.

After arriving in Canada, she continued her training before opening her own salon and spa. Ms. Corner, President of Networks Corp., is a successful businesswoman and an internationally recognized stylist. Her numerous wins of local, national and international competitions testify to her talent as an innovative and creative professional.

Maren continued to expand her creative horizons and at the same time, pursued her lifelong love and passion for decorating.

Creating her own design concept now seems like a natural step. “I find magic in the ordinary! All I need is a subject and some decorative bits and everything falls into place.”

Self-taught Maren has won many home décor awards, has been featured in magazines, newspapers and appeared numerous times on television showcasing her own home. Other notable engagements include a twenty-four episode TV series; creative host for celebrity golf tournaments (featuring Hollywood celebrities); host home for “Kids Help Phone” and numerous other worthy charity events!

Maren is a passionate supporter of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation; she herself is a triumphant survivor of breast cancer.
